Discovering a Hidden Pattern
Dr. Tina Peers, a British physician with over 40 years of medical experience, was not afraid of COVID-19. In fact, she had successfully treated over 100 patients using over-the-counter vitamins and antihistamines based on early clues about the disease’s pathology.
A pathology report from Italy describing clotting, bleeding, and inflammation in COVID-19 patients led her to a crucial insight: these were classic signs of mast cell activation.
Mast cells are immune cells that release histamine and other chemicals during allergic reactions. Dr. Peers believed many patients were suffering from undiagnosed mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), causing their immune systems to overreact to COVID.
She treated them with vitamins like C and D, zinc, selenium, quercetin (a natural mast cell stabilizer), and regular doses of antihistamines. The results were often dramatic… patients stopped coughing within hours and quickly recovered.
Mandated Shots and an Unwanted Decision
Despite her success treating COVID naturally, Dr. Peers was forced by her private hospital to take the AstraZeneca vaccine to keep seeing patients. Although hesitant, she eventually agreed after pressure from her children and government messaging, even researching online where she found nothing but assurances that the vaccine was “safe and effective.”
After her first dose, she felt fine. But after the second, her health took a sharp turn. Within an hour, her hand began to tremble uncontrollably. Soon she developed eczema, rosacea, burning mouth syndrome, food sensitivities, and even leg spasms resembling localized seizures. It was the beginning of a two-year health crisis.
The Symptoms Pointed to Spike Protein
Dr. Peers believed the vaccine triggered a flare-up of her previously mild MCAS, and she became convinced the spike protein from the vaccine was still active in her body. The spike protein… the part of the virus targeted by vaccines… is known to bind to ACE2 receptors found throughout the body. Her symptoms matched those reported by many vaccine-injured patients.
This ongoing production of spike protein had been documented in studies. A study referenced during the discussion suggested that 50% of people tested were still producing spike protein up to two years after vaccination, likely due to changes in gene expression (though not necessarily permanent changes to DNA).
Enter the Zero Spike Project
In April 2023, Dr. Peers discovered the Zero Spike Project… a nonprofit research group in Italy working to understand and counteract spike protein toxicity. Their scientists had found that the common supplement N-acetylcysteine (NAC) could partially break down spike protein molecules. But when they used a process to “augment” the NAC—aligning its molecules in a more ordered and powerful way—it was able to break down 99.8% of the spike protein in laboratory tests.
A study in Japan confirmed these results with mass spectrometry, showing consistent breakage of the spike protein at specific sites. Augmented NAC also showed a 68% reduction in blood clots in tests, compared to only 11% with ordinary NAC.
The researchers believed this form of NAC could help people suffering from long COVID or vaccine injuries, where lingering spike protein seemed to be the trigger.
Real-Life Results and Renewed Health
Dr. Peers contacted the Zero Spike Project and began taking the augmented NAC herself. Within 24 hours, her hand tremor disappeared. Her eczema and rosacea also cleared up. She had no further seizures in her leg. Encouraged, she began recommending the treatment to patients, advising them to start with a basic liver detox using regular NAC and activated charcoal before moving on to the augmented form to avoid detox side effects.
Her husband, also vaccinated with AstraZeneca, had a minor stroke two years later. After taking augmented NAC, he too began to feel better, though he initially experienced flu-like symptoms, a common detox reaction as the spike protein is broken down and excreted by the body.
Long COVID and the Mast Cell Connection
Dr. Peers opened a long COVID clinic in November 2020, long before vaccines were introduced. Most of her patients had MCAS… a surprising but important discovery. She found that treating MCAS in these patients helped reduce their long COVID symptoms. Later, when the same patients worsened after getting vaccinated, she realized the spike protein itself was likely triggering ongoing immune reactions.
Studies cited during the discussion, such as those mentioned by Dr. Stephanie Seneff, have also confirmed the concept of spike protein “shedding”—where vaccinated individuals may expose others to spike protein particles. Though controversial, this idea explains why some unvaccinated individuals report vaccine-like symptoms after prolonged exposure to recently vaccinated people.
Vaccine Injury and Long-Term Spike Protein Production
One striking patient case involved a woman who recovered significantly using ivermectin, another compound that seems to binds spike protein. But when she stopped taking it, all her symptoms returned. This supports the idea that her body was still producing spike protein long after her shot. Other patients had severe food sensitivities and nerve damage, with little help from conventional medicine.
Augmented NAC gave many of these patients relief. One 24-year-old woman regained her sense of self and emotional stability. An Australian nurse, previously a marathon runner who developed heart failure after multiple vaccine doses, saw her cardiac function return to normal after using the treatment. Her cardiologist was stunned.
Scientific Support and Ongoing Use

Studies support NAC’s ability to detoxify the body and protect organs. It’s been used in emergency rooms for decades to treat acetaminophen (paracetamol) overdoses. It also crosses the blood-brain barrier, making it especially effective in treating neurological symptoms from spike protein toxicity.
While ordinary NAC offers some benefit, the augmented version is much more powerful and consistent in breaking down spike proteins. This could explain why many patients feel better on it but relapse if they stop… possibly due to ongoing spike protein production or repeated exposure from others.
Cautious Hope Down The Road
Although Dr. Peers originally intended to retire, her work has now become more demanding and more fulfilling.
Her message is one of cautious hope: even though the medical system failed many during the pandemic, people can take charge of their health by becoming informed and proactive. She continues to take one dose of augmented NAC daily and believes others may benefit, under the supervision of a healthcare provider.
While the full picture of long COVID, vaccine injury, and spike protein persistence is still emerging, Dr. Peers and the Zero Spike Project offer a ray of hope to those who have felt abandoned by traditional medicine.
This is not medical advice. Ask your doctor if Augmented NAC is right for you.
