Brushes With the Law, John Dillinger, and More!

The Heirloom Market and Café, and their parent company, Solutions From Science, are proud to introduce another segment of the “Old Time Heirloom Hour,” taped before a live studio audience, here in Thomson, Illinois.

On this show, co-hosts Bill Heid and Bob Whitten discuss Bob‘s recent brush with security while trying to get photos of the Thomson Prison. Our celebrity of the week, 95-year-old Irma Richter, talks to Bill and Bob about running a store during the depression, and her brush with John Dillinger.

“Bait Shop Todd” talks fishing, telling us where the Ring Perch are biting. He also tries to get a few bucks out of Bill.

If it’s music you’re after, we’ve got that covered! Aaron Fullan and his wife, Tabby, are on the piano with an old Irish tune. Local musicians, Joe Joe Smith and Matt Bentley, brought their guitars, singing their version of some contemporary music for us.

Also, our own Heirloom Market Store manager, James, sat down with us, showing off his “Product of the Week.” Senior Botanist, Nick Huizenga, took a break from the fields to come in and collect on his bet with Bill.
